Antriebstechnik Schmidt is a small workshop in Ottrau-Weißenborn, Hesse, Germany, run by Horst Schmidt. We design, machine and sell drivetrain and mechanical-engineering parts — with more than 25 years of experience in gear cutting. In May 2021, after 25 years at the previous location, the workshop moved to its current site with 800 m² of production and stock space.
Many of our parts are distributed through specialist Porsche dealers and parts suppliers; just as many go directly to motorsport customers racing in a wide range of historic series. The standard is the same either way: one-off production that satisfies the highest demands — measured, documented, ready to install.
How we work
You are not talking to a sales department here — you are talking to the man at the machine. Inquiry, advice, quote, machining and invoice come from one person, from the first call to a detailed, transparent bill. Whatever cannot be settled by phone or online is settled at the part: visits are welcome any time by appointment, even if a production shop is not a showroom.
