Between the CAD model and the production tool sits the first sample. We machine prototype and first-sample parts for the automotive industry and mechanical engineering – turned and gear-cut parts from batch size 1, with the precision of a gear-cutting workshop.

One workshop, every operation

Prototype parts rarely fail at the lathe – they fail at the interface between trades. So we keep the chain in-house:

Precision with proof

Gear teeth are ground to tolerances down to the region of 0.0025 mm – with a measurement report if your quality assurance requires it. Bearing friction torque is set using a torsiometer with drag indicator. First samples that leave this workshop are measured, not estimated.

Discretion goes without saying

Development parts are confidential. Drawings, samples and project data stay in-house and are not mentioned to third parties – we will confirm that in writing on request.

Common questions

01 From what quantity do you produce?

From batch size 1. Prototypes and first samples are one-offs by definition – and that is precisely what this workshop is set up for. Small series are the norm; volume production is possible on request.

02 Which data formats do you work with?

Drawings in DWG or DXF format are the standard. If only a sample part exists, we measure it and create the drawing ourselves – the design data belongs to you afterwards.

03 What sets you apart from a plain turning shop?

The gear cutting. Many drivetrain prototype parts need internal or external teeth, spline profiles or broached keyways – operations a plain turning shop has to buy in. Here they stay in-house, on our own gear-cutting, slotting and broaching machines.

04 How fast can I get a first sample?

That depends on complexity and material – a serious answer comes with the quote. Because drawing creation, turning, gear cutting and measuring sit in one workshop, the idle time between multiple suppliers disappears.
